I teamed up with Charlotte Russe to give you guys the most of your spring closet. I think it's pretty clear by now that every girl needs a floral dress in her closet. It's super easy to wear, ultra-feminine, and immediately puts you in a good mood when you wear it. Here's look 1. Every rose has its thorn and so does this floral dress-- I paired it with all my favorite spiked accessories to toughen it up and make it look more edgy.
The side cut-outs in this dress are pretty badass. I love that peek-a-boo quality that reveals just the right amount of skin.
For look 2, I wanted to go for a night-time look that you can possibly change into for a dinner date or to a concert (being that every one is in a Coachella state of mind at the moment). It's been pretty chilly here in LA during night time, so I always make sure to pack a light jacket. This one is a denim button up that I've been wearing consistently as a jacket. Some thigh high stockings to lock in some heat and of course some Docs to keep you dancing all night. I also added the beanie to stay true to this grunge look whilst functioning as another form of heat. A warm head equals a warm body.
This is my first time collaborating with Lisa Linh, a photographer/blogger/PR gal I met through M DOT's Valentine's Pop Off that I hosted months ago and we were finally able to make our schedules match! Woo hoo! There's just something different about working with female photographers. This is my second time working with a female photographer and I found that the images came out a lot softer and innocent (lol). Funny how even with a camera, there are interpretations you see through the film and photos photogs produce.
My motto is: "When you find a staple, buy tons of them in every color." ;) A good floral dress is always a great one to have since they always have more than one way to function. I love this one because its base is black, which is very important to me for layering purposes and its material is similar to that of the infamous neoprene that has been blowing up in spring fashion in swimwear, active wear, and now even in everyday wear.
