DIY: Cropped Blouse

Spring is here but you're tired of all of last year's spring clothes. Not to worry-- this is where spring cleaning can be fun! Grab an ex-boyfriend's button down or an old button down you already have in your closet and make it into a cute cropped blouse for spring. I cut off the sleeves so the blouse is much more casual and then I hacked off the bottom of the button down so it fit right above my belly button so I can easily pair it with high-waisted shorts, skirts, and in this case, high-waisted pants. Crop tops go perfectly with high-waisted bottoms as it gives you the coverage you need without losing your shape. This is a super easy way to maximize your closet without going shopping. Another plus is that you can wear it as a light spring jacket by simply unbuttoning it and wearing a tank or tee underneath.
